PCV Driver 


We're looking for experienced, dedicated, responsible, and highly organised individuals to join our team of Drivers. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, so ideally, you will have experience as a School Bus Driver doing school/college runs and private hire groups. If you're a good communicator, a safe and careful driver, who is patient and works well under pressure this could be your position. The role is term-time, working an early morning and afternoon split shift pattern. There are also opportunities for overtime work undertaking private hire jobs between school hours or weekend work. We offer Free Uniforms, employee pensions, free parking on-site, and a friendly working environment.


Job Requirements;

  • must have at least two years of PCV driving experience
  • experience driving coaches' PCV minibuses and school private hires
  • clean Cat D licence (no more than three penalty points)
  • CPC Drivers Qualification Card
  • enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
  • knowledge of EU driver's hours

Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic



We seek an experienced mechanic to join our Workshop Team to service our fleet and commercial vehicles. Ideally, you would be highly competent and experienced in providing self-lead, consistently high standards and comfortable working to tight deadlines. We have a fleet of vehicles that need regular maintenance care and repair, fault finding and servicing. This position requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will have a passion for vehicle maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of our vehicles.


Duties

  • Accurate and skilled repair, service and maintenance of all makes and types of motor vehicles including coaches over 3.5 tonnes.
  • MOT testing - prepare and present vehicles according to DVSA standards including testing if you are a site-registered NT per DVSA regulations
  • Diagnostic testing and maintenance of vehicles; Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair. Ensure any faults are documented and noted as per regulations and standards set by DVSA
  • Fabricate and weld components as necessary
  • Repair and maintain vehicle electrical systems
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and installations
  • Operate Vehicle lifts and other equipment as required
  • Perform heavy lifting and manual labour tasks as needed


Please note that this job may require working in various weather conditions and physical exertion. Applicants must be able to meet the job's physical demands, including heavy lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified / Apprentice Trained Technician with previous experience in 3.5+ tonne vehicle maintenance or a related field preferred
  • Significant practical experience in a busy workshop
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude, fine-tuned diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and electrical equipment
  • Ability to fabricate and weld components as necessary
  • Comfortable using garage management operating systems (i.e. Techman, Garage Manager, etc)
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and lift operation and manual labour tasks as required
  • Ability to work proactively as part of a team or alone as required
